Powder coating is obtained through the application of thermosetting coating powders and is environmentally friendly.
Powder coating is applied through an electrostatic method using a negative polarity generator or through a triboelectric method which positively charges the powder by friction of its particles.
Powder coated metal surfaces are more resistant to chipping, scratching, fading, and general wear and tear. As a result, the surfaces are extremely durable, have good corrosion resistance with exceptional levels of appearance and finish.
Please note that we only use powders made by well established and reputable manufacturers that have been providing our firm with their professional and always punctual services for many years now.
Powder coating is suitable either for indoor items as radiators, metal furniture, commercial fixtures and fittings as well as for outdoor ones such as architectural steel or aluminium features, including metal components for balustrades, balconies, window frames, doors, gates and buildings decorative elements in general.
Thanks to over 400 stocked colours, we can quickly create bespoke shades and finishes even for small quantities, in order to satisfy any chromatic or texture effect our clients might require (ex: peeled, metallic, gloss or matte, marbled, weathering steel, transparent finish). Compared to industrial chain painting system, our craftsmanship allows us to be more flexible and offer rapid changes in colour or finishes, if necessary, even during the working stages.
Our ample size paint booth allows us to powder coat large scale items up to the following dimensions: L8000 x D2600 x H2800 mm.
EPOXY POWDERS
Through a careful selection based on the resins and hardeners specific physical and chemical properties, epoxy powders can be tailored to suit any specific requirement. Combining different basic components, we can pre-determine the coating performance in terms of flexibility, hardness, resistance to chemical agents and corrosion, curing temperature and also the final aesthetic qualities such as smoothness, brilliance, colour on various finishes such as peeled, hammered and embossed.
EPOXYPOLYESTER POWDERS
Due to their high resistance to light and heat, epoxy-polyester powders are extremely suitable for indoor applications as they are more resistant when exposed to light and heat. They also offer optimum electrostatic spray characteristics which enhances their adhesion to the substrate.
POLYESTER POWDERS
Besides their optimum performance outdoor, polyester powders have excellent mechanical properties even when applied in rather high thicknesses (80-90 micron); they ensure perfect coverage on corners, they have a good coefficient of thermal expansion and offer excellent hardness and brilliance.
Their adhesion to all surfaces and resistance to corrosion is comparable to the polyurethane powders and they also offer excellent resistance to yellowing due to UV light and heat which makes them extremely suitable for outdoor industrial and architectural purposes.
